The rules of the work

The rules below describe the intended 2027–2126 programme. Year 1 refers to the 2027 volume.

  1. Draw an alien. Make it realistic. Realistic means the way you really think it looks.
  2. Anyone can answer. Entries are open to any form of intelligent life.
  3. Every drawing is shown whole. Nothing is changed.
  4. Every alien is credited: first name, initial, age, place, year.
  5. Every alien has its own number, for good.
  6. No alien is graded. None is the winner.
  7. The drawings are never sold. The Collection can't be bought.
  8. One book a year, for 100 years. This is Year 1 of 100.
  9. Nothing goes in without consent. Any child can say no.
  10. We imagine. We don't predict.
